Almost 25% Fe content magnetite iron ore is economical for general recovery of 40% yield of yield by weight and utilized to produce the concentrate of grade in excess of 64% Fe content by weight. This concentrate contains Silica less than 0.1% Phosphorus and 3-6% Silica along with less than 3% aluminum.
Applications and Uses
The magnetic properties of magnetite Iron Ore makes it much suitable to process the ore into iron ore pallets because magnetic iron ore can be readily refined into an iron ore concentrates.
Almost 50% of magnetic iron ore mined in world is utilized for producing steel. Today the advanced technology is in position to produce 68-69% Fe content concentrate from magnetite iron ore.
Magnetite Iron Ore is used for manufacturing magnets, high frequency cores. It is also used in auto parts as catalysts.
Radioactive Iron (Iron 59) is used in medicine, tracer element in biochemical and metallurgical research.
Magnetite Iron Ore is also used in paint industry, printing inks, plastics, cosmetics, artist color, laundry blue, paper dyeing, fertilizer ingredients, baked enamels used for autos and appliances.
Black magnetite iron ore is used as pigments, in polishing, metallurgy, medicines, magnetic inks, and in ferrites for electronic industry.
