How safe is sex during pregnancy?

It’s not safe to have sex during pregnancy. The woman is undergoing body and mental change and she may get irritated easily if her emotions and feeling are not cared. The irritation can result in loss of appetite and it some cases it can become worse.
During pregnancy, pregnant woman is more aware about her pregnancy and responsibility which can reduce her desire for intercourse. The husband, who is not going through any changes, should never force his pregnant wife for intercourse. If she is willing and urges, then special care should be taken that no pressure comes on the abdomen. It’s advisable that sitting position or woman on top positions to be used for the intercourse.
Before proceeding, the couple should always consult their doctor as in some special cases intercourse should be completely avoided.
